The following is a few pictures from a roll of film I recently got developed. All were taken by me on a Pentax Spotmatic F.
This photo was taken last Autumn, and I love the way the colorful leaves subtly pop through the graininess.
I took this photo somewhere in Old Colorado City.. I just can't resist fleur-de-lis, and luck definitely played a part in how the composition/focus of this turned out!
I don't even remember taking this one, but I love the way the light filtered through the green.
This one is my favorite from the roll. I love the way the felt closest to the camera is in focus, and the light bounces off of the slightly-blurry pool balls and my brother's hands.
A pretty typical representation of my family. Gotta measure the champagne just right!
This one gives off such a relaxing, refreshing feeling. Plus, it reminds me of home.
I like the way this shows the mixture of a boyish/man nature in my brother and friend, as they head towards the playground with the hazy, majestic mountains as the backdrop.
Each time I develop another roll of film, I love film so much more! Digital is great for lots of things, but I feel like an old camera will perfectly focus and filter the light in a new and interesting way every time. I love the mystery and excitement of not knowing exactly what it's going to look like, too.
