A friend bought a dress that was too big for her, and she asked me to tailor it for her. She wants to wear it to a wedding on Sunday, so I went ahead and got to work on it today!
While the dress is cool, I find myself more intrigued by the grid surface on which it's resting. Is that grid in square inches and is it what's atop a work table at your day job? It's interesting to see the arcs over the north/south grid, too.
This is something we have at home, and it is basically a large piece of cardboard that you lay on a table. It is used for cutting on, and the grid + curves help with pattern-making (which we haven't done a whole lot of).
